Imprinted

This print is done by first painting on fine handmade japans washi using a natural handmade madder poor dye. Then a lino cut print is made on top of the washi.

This design represents memory layers, our history, our way of interpreting, and the kind of mark it makes on our lives and our behaviour. It is IMprinted. The word can mean making a mark or outline on a surface or in the animal kingdom it means to recognise something or someone as an object of trust.

This is a one of a kind work.
